Comprehensive Eye Examinations An eye examination in our office involves careful assessment of your vision correction needs, focusing and eye alignment performance as well as evaluating the health of the eye. Often patients come to us because they have difficulty seeing distance or near objects. After determining the prescription that best corrects your vision, our doctors will discuss with you options such as glasses, contact lenses, or refractive surgery which are best suited to meet the needs of your daily activities. Problems with focusing and eye alignment are often overlooked as sources of headaches and eyestrain. This is especially true for those who do a great deal of computer and near work. A careful assessment of your focusing and eye alignment allows us to prescribe lenses which help you work more efficiently with fewer headaches and eyestrain. Most importantly our doctors will assess your eye health. This includes looking for glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration and other potentially sight-stealing disorders. Many eye conditions do not effect your vision initially and can only be found with consistent eye health evaluation. Some systemic health problems like diabetes and hypertension as well as many medications can have effects on the eye which should be monitored to prevent sight-threatening complications. If you would like to schedule an appointment call us at (614) 861-0950 or send e-mail to info@ecavision.com Contact Lenses Advancements in technology now make it possible for nearly anyone who wants to wear contact lenses to be successful. If you have thought that you could not wear contact lenses because of astigmatism, allergies, dry eyes or bifocals, our office welcomes the opportunity of helping you become a successful contact lens wearer. Many patients are concerned about whether contact lenses will work for them and are afraid that they may invest a lot of money in lenses that do not work. Our Contact Lens Success Program insures that everyone who wishes can try contact lenses with a minimum risk and expense. Our lenses are warranted so that if you decide not to stay with contact lenses or we cannot achieve satisfactory fit or vision, the lenses can be returned during the warranty period and you pay nothing for them. The warranty also allows us to make adjustments so that we achieve the best contact lens fit, vision, and eye health. If you would like to be free from glasses for cosmetic reasons, to enjoy recreational activities, or simply for special occasions, call us at 861-0950 to schedule an appointment or send e-mail to contacts@ecavision.com and begin seeing clearly without glasses. Most patients over 18 years of age, in good general health, and with no diseases such as cataracts or glaucoma are candidates. Laser vision correction can treat a very broad range of nearsightedness, astigmatism and farsigntedness. In most cases, even patients with the most severe degrees of nearsightedness, astigmatism and farsightedness can be treated.
